Mario was first introduced in the game Donkey Kong game as “Jumpman” in the year 1981. Because of the popular response of Jumpman they decided to make him Mario and start their own series. When Mario was Jumpman he was a carpenter but in the first ever Mario Brothers game he became a plumber. In the game is where we first got to meet Mario’s brother Luigi. Since the high feedback from that game they started to make Super Mario Brothers which is the most selling gaming ever. Mario’s main role in the Mario games is to defeat Bowser and captured the Princess. Now over 25 years later Mario is still the main character on the Nintendo and probably will remain quite some time.

Luigi

Luigi was first known to the world as Mario’s brother. Luigi is pretty much Mario’s identical brother but Luigi is green and because taller, skinnier as technology got better. Nintendo got the name Luigi from a pizza parlor right down the street from Nintendo’s head quarters in Redmond, Washington. Luigi became so popular that even he had his own game titles after him, with the most famous is Luigi’s Mansion.

Luigi is using his flash light in his game Luigi’s Mansion that came out for Nintendo 64.

Luigi was one of the feature characters in all the Mario Kart games that came out for several systems.

Yoshi

Yoshi was first introduced in 1990 in the game Super Mario World. Yoshi is a dinosaur that is know for his sticky tongue where he could eat anything. Also certain things he eats gives him certain powers to do, like fly or shoot fireballs. Yoshi has been featured in many of the Mario Games series with a few games of his own he was in including his most famous game Yoshi’s Island. He is one of the more popular characters in the Mario series mostly known for Mario’s pet. Yoshi has a lot of family that come in different colors that you can also experience in some Mario games.

Yoshi first had his own game for the Super Nintendo which was the sequel to Super Mario World.

Princess Peach

Princess is known as the ruler of Mushroom Kingdom’s palace. Princess Peach pretty much has the same storyline in every Mario game. She gets kidnapped by Bowser then Mario is on a quest to defeat Bowser and get the Princess back. That’s how the storyline been with Princess from where she first came to Mario to the most recent Mario.

Even Princess Peach had her own game title in the game Super Princess Peach, a game that game out for The Nintendo DS.

Bowser

Browser has been the enemy for Mario in all of the Mario games since the beginning of the Super Mario Brothers series. Bowser is also known as King Kooper and has always tried to take over Mushroom Kingdom and kidnapping the Princess. He has been one of the most if not the most popular Villain in the history of villains.
